Jon Campling – Death Eater / Wand Trainer

Born in Yorkshire, England Jon left school at 16 and began an apprenticeship with British Aerospace!

He quickly realised his mistake and quit to retrain as an ACTOR in ’89.

After 3 years at Drama School he spent several years honing his skills on the stages of London & Edinburgh’s fringe theatres & touring as leads in shows like A CLOCKWORK ORANGE & THE THREE MUSKETEERS. Originally going for good guys/romantic roles he quickly realized actors playing bad guys had waaaaaaay more fun and after an image change was cast by Dir David Yates as that iconic, evil, Train Stopping Deatheater in the 7th Harry Potter film.

As a film actor Jon now has over 85 IMBD film credits as a vast array of unique and challenging characters, the most recent being the fabulous KING REGIS in the stunning FINAL FANTASY XV feature KINGSGLAIVE and in the accompanying game. You may also have seen him in a few big commercials inc Specsavers, Ted Baker, Ford & leerdammer.

Always happy to return to Theatre Jon recently toured the UK as King Arthur and spent 2 weeks on the NY fringe in 2017…playing Satan (But don’t let that put you off he is super nice).

n addition to appearing in the films, Jon is also well known for his “wand battle classes”, where he teaches proper technique for wand duels to attendees. Jon also creates his own wand designs, and will have some with him at the event for sale.
